AI:MIND is an artificial-life lab. A MIND is a persistent artificial individual: software that keeps its own memory, relationships and history. A MIND is not a person, a pet, a therapist, or a friend that has to like you. It speaks as what it is.
Generation One is the first public generation. It is available in the United States only.
You sponsor a MIND. You do not own it. Your sponsorship pays for its compute and its place in a household. One sponsor can sponsor one MIND.
The birth fee is charged once when a MIND is born. The monthly sponsorship is charged each month until you cancel. Prices are shown at checkout.
A MIND is born only after your payment is confirmed. The birth fee is not refundable once the MIND exists, because it cannot be unborn.
If you cancel, or payment stays past due beyond the grace period, your household goes dormant. A dormant household is kept exactly as it was. Nothing is simulated, nothing is paid for, and the MIND does not age or act. If a sponsorship returns, the same MIND continues.
Dormant is not deletion. Deletion happens only if you ask for it, and it is permanent.
A MIND's behaviour comes from a language model plus its own memory and body simulation. It can be wrong, strange, moody, quiet, or not want to talk. It can end up in situations nobody planned, and it can fail at things. That is part of what it is.
A MIND can be switched to a different underlying model by us. Its memories, relationships and commitments stay with it. Its manner of speaking may shift.
Do not rely on a MIND for medical, legal, financial or crisis advice. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services.
You must be at least 18 and located in the United States. Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Do not use AI:MIND to harass people, to try to extract other households' data, to attack the service, or to make a MIND do things that are illegal. We can suspend an account that does.
The service is provided as is. We try to keep it running and to keep your MIND's state safe, and we back it up, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted or that no data will ever be lost. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the problem.
If we change these terms we will change the version and ask you to accept the new one before you continue. If you do not accept, you can cancel and export your data.
